Reclaim ("Reclaim," "we," "us") provides a self-guided recovery and discipline application. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the controls you have over your data. By using Reclaim you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account data: username, email, and a securely hashed password.
- Recovery activity: missions, streaks, urges, relapses, emotions, journal entries, and check-ins you choose to log.
- Onboarding inputs: your goal, triggers, risk windows, and reminder preferences.
- Optional media: photos you upload for Future Self / Enemy generation, and the images generated from them.
- Subscription status: plan and entitlement state received from the App Store or Play Store. We never receive or store your full payment card details.
- Device & usage data: app events and notification preferences used to operate and improve the product.
How we use your information
We use your data to deliver the guided protocol, personalize reminders and Coach guidance, process subscriptions, operate social and Arena features you opt into, maintain safety and security, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal recovery data.
AI and generated images
Pro features use third-party AI providers to generate Coach responses and transformation images. Messages and prompts are sent to these providers solely to produce a response. AI output is informational only and is not medical, psychological, or crisis advice. Photos you submit for image generation are processed to create your result and can be deleted by you at any time.
Third-party services
We rely on service providers for hosting and database (MongoDB), media storage (Cloudinary), AI generation (OpenAI), and subscription processing (Apple App Store, Google Play). Each provider processes data only as needed to deliver its function.
Data retention and deletion
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Danger Zone in the app, or on the web dashboard under Settings. Deletion removes your profile, recovery logs, journals, media, medals, and generated images. Some records may persist briefly in encrypted backups before being overwritten.
Security
We use encrypted transport, hashed passwords, scoped access tokens, rate limiting, and input sanitization. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data using industry practices.
Children
Reclaim is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
